Quarantine Reflections

by Noelle Kalom

Quarantine Reflections is inspired by a time in history where communities around the globe were required to sequester and isolate.

These paintings explore the concept of stillness, and  inner reflections that find time and space to emerge from a deep, collective subconscious.

Golden light, turquoise shards, umber earth, and crimson bedrock make for bold contrasts that echo the New Mexico landscape where Noelle grew up.

As a child Christmas Eve birthday's at Taos Pueblo sparked a lifelong appreciation of the power of fire, mystery, ritual and tribal ceremony. The Quarantine Reflection paintings distill energy, movement, and reflect the undercurrents of this chapter in our communal landscape.
